Rock Crossings can be an environmentally friendly option for places along creeks with erosion problems. Rock has some capacity to heal itself. If one rock is moved another can roll into the open space.   












This photo was taken along the banks of Chaplin Lake. Chaplin Lake and Old Wives are recognized as Western Hemispheric Shorebird Reserve Network site in May 1997. This is pretty amazing considering it is the highest designation that a reserve can receive and there are only 7 sites Canada.
